Winter Bedding Ordering Calendar for Indian Retailers
Winter bedding sells in a short window. This month-by-month plan helps retailers and wholesalers order the right stock at the right time.

Winter bedding has one of the shortest selling seasons in retail. If stock arrives late, the season is half over. If you order too much of the wrong product, it waits in the godown until next year. This calendar shows how experienced retailers and wholesalers in North India plan their winter bedding orders.
April to June: plan
- Review last season’s sales by product, size and colour.
- Decide your mix: rajai covers, fitted bedsheets, dohar sets, duvet sets and pillow covers.
- If you plan a private label, start now. Labels, packing and samples take time. See Starting a private-label bedding brand.
July to August: sample and order
- Request samples of new designs and approve them.
- Place your first main order. Early orders get earlier production slots.
- Online sellers should plan stock for festival sales.
September to October: receive and display
- Receive the first lot and check it against the approved sample.
- Put lighter items (dohars, flano sheets) on display first, since they sell from the change of season.
- Place repeat orders for fast-moving designs.
November to January: peak season
- Rajai covers, duvet sets and heavier fleece sell fastest.
- Keep repeat orders small and frequent, based on what is selling.
February to March: clear and review
- Clear remaining stock with offers.
- Note which products, sizes and colours sold out and which did not.
Tip: one supplier for the whole category
Buying the full winter range from one manufacturer means one sample cycle, one transport booking and one point of contact when you need a quick repeat order. See our winter bedding wholesale range.
